"I'm very sure this was the idea of obi Cubana's wife cause naturally, no igbo woman would seat and watch a non biological son become thr next of kin over her own legitimate son. Even if she's quiet about it. Her friend's will pressure her to do something about it... I'm 100% obi Cubana didn't post this himself but he approved it for peace to reign."

Next of kin not related to inheritance - Fabmumng

Jayne Augoye of Fabmumng schooled Nigerians on the next of kin. She explained to Legit.ng that before the Obi Cubana and adopted son's drama, she had treated the topic earlier, seeing that people confused next of kin with inheritance. She noted while chastising people who use their underage children as their next of kin.

"The idea of being someone’s next of kin excites some people, thinking they’ve hit the jackpot! But there’s much more to it. This misconception exists because people don’t fully understand what it entails. That’s probably why you’ll see someone listing a two-year-old child as their next of kin."

She educates people further on the meaning of next of kin. She said:

"Think of next of kin as more of an emergency hotline role; it means you’re the first person to be called in critical situations, consulted for decisions, or notified about family matters. So, the next time you fill out a next of kin form or are listed as one, I hope this helps you understand what it means and what’s expected."
